Unreleased iPhone Model Spotted in Indian Regulatory Database – Likely Another iPhone 15 Variant
2 min readJust a week after the discovery of an unreleased iPhone model in India’s regulatory database, MySmartPrice has announced the spotting of yet another one. It is believed to be another variant of the iPhone 15 models, which are expected to be unveiled in a few weeks.
The previously found model number was A3094, while the new one is A3090. Both have been seen on the Bureau of Indian Standard website. They are currently listed alongside some other known iPhone models, leading to speculation that this could potentially be the standard iPhone 15 model.
Furthermore, last week, user @aaronp613 uncovered other unreleased Apple products in the Indian regulatory database; AirPods with the model number A3048 and a MagSafe Charging Device with model number A3088.
Concerning the AirPods, it is possible that they are related to the rumored AirPods Pro 2 and could feature a new USB-C smart charging case. As for the new MagSafe Charging Device, no information has emerged yet, but Apple might update this accessory to have a USB-C connection instead of Lightning.
Apple is anticipated to unveil four different models of the iPhone 15 in September. While rumors mentioned an iPhone 15 Ultra, it is advised not to set high expectations for such a model, as a similar rumor circulated before the iPhone 14 series launch but turned out to be untrue.
The regular iPhone 15 models are expected to feature the A16 Bionic chip, an improved 48MP primary camera, a transition from the Lightning port to USB-C, and new color options. On the other hand, the Pro models seem to offer slimmer bezels, the A17 Bionic chip, and a titanium frame. The iPhone 15 Pro Max is also rumored to come equipped with a periscope lens for improved zoom capabilities.
