According to Iran’s official news agency IRNA, the Isfahan Environmental Protection Organization has issued a written statement regarding the matter.

The statement noted that “Air pollution in the city reached a level of 337 micrograms per cubic meter this morning. At the Zeynebiye Station, air pollution was measured at 391 micrograms per cubic meter.”

Mansur Shisheforoush, the Crisis Management Chief of Isfahan Province, also mentioned that air pollution has reached risky levels in some areas.

Shisheforoush emphasized that citizens, especially those with heart and respiratory conditions, should avoid going outside unless necessary. For those who must go outside, he recommended the use of masks.

‘Alarm’ Level
The air quality index, determined based on the concentration of particulate matter (PM10) in one cubic meter of air, categorizes values as follows:

0-50: Clean air (green), 51-100: Moderate (yellow), 101-150: Unhealthy for sensitive groups (orange), 151-200: Unhealthy (red), 201-300: Very unhealthy (purple), 301-500: Hazardous (brown).

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), air pollution levels recorded above 100 micrograms are deemed “harmful to health,” while measurements exceeding 250 are considered to be at the “alarm” level.
